Gitti Weber

Talented individuals rarely take the well-trodden path.

And this was not an option for Gitti Weber either. She always strives to tackle new challenges. And so her journey took her from IT training with Siemens in Munich to the post of Managing Director and owner of Steinbach Alpin in Kitzbühel and then becoming a registered mediator and corporate consultant.

But back to the beginning. Gitti Weber was born in 1960 in Munich. After finishing school, training and a few years of work, the mother of three decided to dedicate 15 years to bringing up her daughters. During this time, she constantly sought out social opportunities. Whether as a committed partner in founding the ‘Montessori Kinderhaus Starnberg’ association or as part of her long-standing work on the executive board of the ‘Frauen helfen Frauen Starnberg’ association.

Following her divorce, the ‘power woman’ was no longer able to focus solely on good causes – she needed an income. So she decided to train to become an administrator for IT networks. Her efforts paid off and she secured herself a job with a leading IT company in Munich. Along with her refreshed technical expertise, Gitti also brought interpersonal skills to her professional work. She soon began to take on customer support and HR management work in addition to her technical tasks. Her new skillset made her an interesting prospect for a joint stock company for HR and management consultancy, to which she switched 2001.

10 exciting years followed. Developing and managing the finance and controlling sector, supporting managers, devising coaching sessions, the classic research tasks and more or less leading a team.

In 2012, the career changer found the ideal opportunity to combine her hobby and profession and bought the company Steinbach Alpin from Christian Steinbach. For 12 years now, she has been preparing ski slopes in winter for the biggest and most important international alpine competitions - from World Cups to the Winter Olympics. In summer, Steinbach Alpin's unique process can be used to sustainably maintain golf courses, soccer pitches and other green spaces.

As a true self-made woman, however, she wanted more: she deepened her ability to support people and also obtained a diploma as a registered mediator and management consultant for Austria. Since 2016, she has been successfully working for her clients between Kitzbühel, Munich and the rest of the world with her company Kitz Consulting.

What does the future hold? It's impossible to say. Because this much is certain: Gitti is so versatile that she doesn't fit into any box and is always good for a surprise.
